1. Account Manager

More information about this job:

Overview:

The Account Manager will be accountable for identifying and closing sales in
a selected group of key accounts, consistent with budgeted profit and selling
expenses and to influence and support Zebra's overall sales/marketing strategy.

Responsibilities:

1. Creating new or incremental sales opportunities for Zebra's specialty printing
solutions suite of products/services for designated markets and applications.

2. Exceeding sales quotas and objectives.

3. Assignments may reflect varying levels of complexity in working with major
customers of large size.

4. Position works closely with: Internal Zebra marketing, engineering, customer
service and technical support to coordinate and facilitate the needs of the
customers they represent.

5. Work with various key management levels within the market they represent
from top management to field sales personnel to sell, close and implement the
sales of Zebra's specialty printing solutions suite of products and services.

6. Work with Sales Directors and other sales personnel on matters of pricing,
internal channel or market conflicts, customer competitive issues, current and
future customer needs, including major market developments, acquisitions/divestitures,
large volume activity, etc.

7. Performance of the position is best measured through: Success in increasing
demand for Zebra's specialty printing solutions suite of products and services,
either directly or through the channel, as evidenced by sales growth and market
penetration within a set of key accounts, while effectively managing conflicts
in their market space.

8. Effective communication to management with timely and accurate reports and
updates.

9. Achieve or exceed sales objectives for designated key accounts.

Create new sales demand for Zebra's specialty printing solutions suite of products
and services by informing and educating customers with regard to Zebra's business
value proposition.

10. Analyze existing accounts and target accounts to develop sales plans that
will achieve maximum sales growth and account penetration.

11. Proactively initiate sales calls and develop contacts within key accounts.
Provide applications and technical aspects of Zebra's specialty printing solutions
suite to customers through sales presentations and demonstrations and provide
pricing for various products/services the customer.

12. Work effectively with internal sales and support personnel to insure that
customer requirements are met in a professional and timely manner.

13. Understand the customer's business and product requirements and effectively
represent Zebra's specialty printing solutions suite of products and services
to the customer, given their current and future business needs.

14. Establish relationships at all levels within a customer's organization structure.

Monitor field level competitive and industrial activity and report findings
back to appropriate parties within Zebra so that marketing and sales activity
can be improved.

15. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering
preferred. Will consider equivalent experience.

2. Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of field sales experience either direct,
channel or alliance focused.

10. Position Specific Qualifications: In addition to the accountabilities for
this positions stated above, some position specific requirements are as follows:

11. Provide single point of accountability for an assigned industry market
group of customers. Retain and grow existing customer base and acquire new customers
in assigned industry market group.

12. With OEM/VAR accounts that meet Zebra's Partner specifications; create
awareness for the company's specialty printing solutions suite of products and
services to develop and/or expand sales through those OEM/VAR accounts and new
accounts. Customers may be geographic or named accounts.

13. With qualified distribution partners, create awareness for the Company's
specialty printing solutions suite of products and services to develop and/or
expand sales with these partners.

14. Must be in appropriate geographic regions

15. Able to manage strategic accounts. Manage the most visible, profitable
accounts utilizing skills, training and processes to retain, grow and generally
contribute to the client's satisfaction.
