1. POSITION : Portal Analysts



Role synopsis

The Integration and Data Centre is the organization within the Integrated Solution
Delivery Centre (ISDC) which builds and maintains the BP Intellectual Property
in the integration, enterprise data and portal services, and governs the support
of those processes by Enterprise Applications solutions.

The Integration Services team is responsible for:

• Advice on implementation & integration, SAP XI/PI , SAP Enterprise
Portal (SAP-EP) SAP SLD, Managed File Transfer, EDI configuration & development,ETL,
DC, Scheduling, Archiving, custodian of best practices, management of shared
integration environment(s),

• Life-cycle management (inc. 3rd line production support) for the production
and project landscapes.

The Solution Analyst – Portal is responsible for:

• Designing & implementing of portal-based solutions

• Guiding and managing offshore development partner (IBM)

• Providing 3rd level support

This role reports to the Lead Solution Analyst Portal (ES ISDC Integration
Services).



Key accountabilities

• Contribute to the development of architecture and programs to ensure
that optimal solutions are specified.

• Engage with prospective clients

• Develop SAP portal solutions to agreed business requirements.

• Work with other areas of IT programmes through the full project lifecycle
from requirements, design, build, test through to cutover and go-live.

• Manage the orderly handover of solutions to support organizations for
specific projects. Provide 3rd line technical support as required.

• Support of the Portal Solution Framework and its integration with the
SDLC.

• Provide consultancy on portal as required.

• Undertake portal configuration and/or custom development.

• Contribute to user management and access and identity management elements.

• Contribute to the design and development of the SAP portal ‘user
experience’.

• Contribute to the governance of the shared portal service, particularly
the interface to the existing governance of the productive environments.


Essential Education

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent / professional qualification
(e.g. CITP) or equivalent.

• At least one full project lifecycle as SAP Portal design and configuration
consultant.

• Proven and demonstrable consulting, requirements gathering and business
analysis skills.

• Minimum of 2 years’ SAP implementation experience.


Essential experience and job requirements

• Relevant experience with full life-cycle systems and applications development.

• SAP-EP services (design and delivery) track record.

• Experience of project delivery in an outsourced services environment.

• Architectural capability and knowledgeRelease Management experience
.

• Technical experience in ESS/MSS, Java and/or ABAP Web Dynpro ,NWDI,

2. POSITION : Capacity & Availability Analyst



Role Synopsis :

The Business & Systems Support Services (B&SS) team deliver and manage
a suite of common processes and services for Enterprise Systems, based upon
the ITIL framework. The B&SS team in ES aims to deliver a stable and highly
reliable suite of applications, based mainly around the SAP application suite.

Within B&SS, the Operational Integrity team is responsible for:

• The management of service delivery risk

• Taking an end-to-end view of service delivery, consolidating data from
IBM and GOI to understand the user experience

• Working closely with counterparts in GOI and IBM to undertake cohesive
recovery, risk management, reporting and capacity plans

The Capacity & Availability Analyst is responsible for supporting the Capacity
and Availability Process Manager and the Support Manager to manage the plan
and undertake data analysis

This role reports directly to the Capacity & Availability Process Manager



Key accountabilities

• Analyse, consolidate and aggregate data from various sources (IBM,
GOI, etc.) to form an end-to-end view of capacity and availability

• Analyse IT system usage and use forecasting techniques to predict likely
future usage

• Maintain historical capacity data in a repository which links each data
entity to service, infrastructure and application specific data, to enable effective
trending from various perspectives

• Develop models which enable capacity and availability trending based
upon specific scenarios

• Support the Capacity and Availability Process Manager in the development
of the Capacity and Availability plans, as well as in the production of process
related reports (e.g. utilisation, performance issues, etc)

• Analyse business volume plans to understand if capacity and availability
is sustainable

• To provide on-call working in addition to normal business hours 1 in
every 3 weeks.


Essential Education

• Educated to Degree level or equivalent


Essential experience and job requirements

• Extensive experience of data analysis. Can demonstrate a track record
of data analysis supporting a number of significant business units in a complex
multi-region multi-application environment.

• Must have good experience of using Excel to undertake data analysis
- basic modelling skills are essential

• Must have good SAP background and understanding. Can show SAP applications
experience and knowledge of the challenges and opportunities presented in delivering
applications management services in a global multi-instance SAP environment.

• Broad IT system knowledge. Able to describe at a high level the infrastructure
landscape (e.g. server, network, application) required to deliver SAP applications

• Experience of working within an ITIL framework and processes with successful
outcomes within a large scale global SAP/service management environment

• ITIL foundation qualification

3. POSITION : Service Level & Performance Process Manager

Role synopsis :



The Business & Systems Support Services (B&SS) team deliver and manage
a suite of common processes and services for Enterprise Systems, based upon
the ITIL framework. The B&SS team in ES aims to deliver a stable and highly
reliable suite of applications, based mainly around the SAP application suite.

Within B&SS, the Operational Integrity team is responsible for:

• The management of service delivery risk

• Taking an end-to-end view of service delivery, consolidating data from
IBM and GOI to understand the user experience

• Working closely with counterparts in GOI and IBM to undertake cohesive
recovery, risk management, reporting and capacity plans

The Service Level & Performance Manager is responsible for management of
service levels across all processes and general performance reporting within
B&SS. This role reports directly to the Head of Operational Integrity.

Key accountabilities :

• Accountable for defining, documenting, maintaining and implementing
the Service Level & Performance processes and ensuring their end-to-end
effectiveness and compliance with all corporate standards and policies

• Accountable for ensuring that measuring and reporting upon the performance
of the Service Level & Performance processes is in place and effective

• Develops a continuous improvement plan for the Service Level & Performance
processes, monitoring compliance and taking active steps to improve

• Accountable for ensuring that effective communication of all process
steps is carried out for all stakeholders, running training and education programmes
as appropriate

• Accountable for ensuring that the Service Level & Performance processes
operate in a truly end-to-end manner, are fully integrated with other resolver
group processes and all Service Integrator roles are clearly identified and
fulfilled. Seamless end-to-end operability of these processes is a critical
success factor for this role.

• Monitor, improve, and report end-to-end Service Performance Metrics
to Director of B&SS

• Accountable for optimising the automation of the processes by using
appropriate tooling

• Accountable for escalation and arbitration where necessary, to resolve
operational issues concerning the process

• Accountable for the design and production of Service Performance Reports
which will be published to the SDM community for discussion with the respective
segment CIO

• Perform OLA performance reviews with internal parties upon whom the
delivery of the service is dependent, working with the ES Vendor Management
team to identify service impacting issues which need to be discussed with the
vendor community

• Establish reporting requirements between B&SS and its internal and
external suppliers (e.g. SLA performance data)

• Investigate service performance exceptions (e.g. “stop-the-clock”
instances)

• Ensure that OLAs and Contracts underpin B&SS SLAs with segment CIO
organisations for end-to-end services

• Establish and own the operational schedule for the submission of reporting
data by internal and external suppliers, and ensure that submission timescales
are met

• Manage performance improvement teams brought in to address specific
issues (e.g. where supplier resources are used to address application performance
issues)

• Has people accountability for 1 Analyst

• Advocate the alignment of processes and team certifications to ITIL
v3

• The role also ensures that services and service providers comply with
standards and policies, including HSSE, security and regulatory requirements,
and contributes to service continuity planning.

Essential Education :

• Educated to Degree level or equivalent

Essential experience and job requirements :

• Extensive experience of Service Level & Performance Management
process management. Can demonstrate a track record of delivering a silent running
capacity and availability process management team supporting a number of significant
business units in a complex multi-region multi-application environment.

• Must have held IT management role and be able to demonstrate a strong
track record for delivering ITIL process management.

• Must have strong in-depth SAP background and understanding. Can show
significant SAP applications experience and in-depth knowledge of the challenges
and opportunities presented in delivering applications management services in
a global multi-instance SAP environment.

• Good leadership and influencing capabilities. Can cite specific examples
of influencing technical and business management decisions to the benefit of
the company

• A broad technical understanding allied to strong process skills. Has
more than a superficial understanding of SAP functional requirements, SAP technical
requirements, infrastructure, and tools. Must be able to understand how to deploy
the above effectively through clear understanding and experience of implementing
Service Level & Performance Management ITIL processes, in a complex major
corporation

• Able to demonstrate track record of implementing ITIL framework and
processes with successful outcomes within a large scale global SAP/service management
environment

4. POSITION : Security & Access Analyst

Role synopsis :

The Business & Systems Support Services (B&SS) team deliver and manage
a suite of common processes and services for Enterprise Systems, based upon
the ITIL framework. The B&SS team in ES aims to deliver a stable and highly
reliable suite of applications, based mainly around the SAP application suite.

Within B&SS, the Operational Integrity team is responsible for:

• The effective management of all problems, incidents, and events working
closely with IBM and GOI to restore adversely impacted operations back to normal
service as quickly as possible

• Assuring activities such as root cause analysis and trend analysis are
performed over problems, incidents, and adverse events such that permanent fixes
to problems, incidents, and negative events are found and implemented

• The central co-ordination of service requests, to ensure timely fulfilment
and manage exceptions

• Monitoring compliance to corporate security policies and regulatory
guidance with regards to user access and broader information security matters

• Coordinating with the Service Desk management team and outsourced Service
Desk provider, collating and consolidating data to produce and communicate cohesive
Service Reporting

The Security & Access Analyst is responsible for providing supporting the
Security & Access Process Manager to monitor and report upon compliance
to the relevant policies and regulatory requirements. The role reports directly
to the Security & Access Process Manager.


Key accountabilities :

• Support the execution of the security assurance programme for the systems
supported by B&SS, working in conjunction with the CISO for Corporate Functions
to ensure alignment with overall Group-wide objectives. Scope will include systems,
processes and third-party suppliers to B&SS.

• Support the Security & Access process Manager to define and drive
a programme of security improvement/remediation to address security risks within
B&SS that are beyond the risk appetite of Enterprise Systems or the BP Group.

• Support with the management of security incidents within remit, in accordance
with defined incident management processes.

• Contribute to the effective operation of common processes and solutions
owned by B&SS and the wider security community within BP. Promote the definition
and adoption of common security solutions.

• Support the Security & Access process Manager to promote security
awareness within the B&SS team and associated application manager community.

• Responsible for escalating security related issues and concerns to the
Security & Access Process Manager

• Support the maintenance and tracking of security risks via the B&SS
operational risk process

• Liaise closely with IT Service Continuity & Risk and Availability
& Capacity teams to ensure security risks are understood and communicated
amongst the team

• Develop action plans based upon deep understanding of corporate security
policy and regulatory requirements with specific regards to the application
of these in an SAP environment

• Support monitoring compliance with security standards and policies across
B&SS Support compliance monitoring across the B&SS estate and resulting
remediation actions

• Conduct analysis of access rights on SAP systems to determine whether
privileges are appropriate and up-to-date

• Ensure appropriate interfaces with the joiners, movers and leavers processes
to ensure that changes to system access requirements are identified and actioned

• Produce compliance reports which identify where access privileges are
inappropriate, and takes action to remediate these on advice from the Request
Security & Access Management Process Manager and ES security function as
necessary

• Monitor access compliance and advises on remediation of inappropriate
access privileges.


Essential Education :

• Good understanding of the practical aspects of Security & Access
management

• Understanding of regulatory requirements i.e. Sarbanes-Oxley

• Extensive experience of data analysis. Can demonstrate a track record
of analysis supporting a number of significant business units in a complex multi-region
multi-application environment.

• Must have good experience of using Excel to undertake data analysis
- basic data modelling skills are essential

• Able to demonstrate a track record of creating cooperative working relationships
across a global organisation

5. Position : Release Analyst

Role synopsis :

The Business & Systems Support Services (B&SS) team deliver and manage
a suite of common processes and services for Enterprise Systems, based upon
the ITIL framework. The B&SS team in ES aims to deliver a stable and highly
reliable suite of applications, based mainly around the SAP application suite.

Within B&SS, the Service Transition team is responsible for

• Responsible for the successful introduction of all types of change into
the production environment

• Ensures that all necessary due diligence has been performed to ensure
that the risk of change implementation has been mitigated

• Acts as the gatekeeper for the production environment, working closely
with GOI, ISDC and IBM to ensure changes are successfully implemented

The Release Analyst is responsible for proactively supporting the management
of release within B&SS. This role reports directly to the Release Process
Manager.

All members of the group will work across all ES and our Service providers with
the accountability over promoting all SAP based changes and fixes to production.
The analysts on the team will work with the Release Process Manager in all processes
implemented with Release management and will regularly be assigned to work with
the Release Process Managers from the team in assuring all activities needed
for the Quarterly Releases are conducted efficiently and effectively. Primary
function of the Release Analysts will be performing Integration activities with
all the parties involved in the all activities needed to successfully promote
changes to production.

Key accountabilities :

• Support the Release Support Manager in execution of the Release
process across B&SS, for example by ensuring release criterion and release
process milestones are met

• Support the Release Process Manager in development of process performance
reports

• Collate release schedules and plans, developing an over-arching view
of forthcoming release activity

• Support the Release Support manager in coordination of follow up activities
being performed by the project teams to ensure timely delivery of process artefacts

• Support the Release Support manager in the coordination of follow up
activities which need to be performed by the project teams, to ensure delivery
of process outputs (e.g. documentation) to time and quality expectations

• Produce release metrics

• Review technical objects in release scope to assure consistency, adherence
to standards, providing additional insights on Release notes and Impact Assessments,
etc.

• Oversight of detailed plans and activities associated with applying
Support Packs and OSS notes including assuring proper technical corrections
are identified, applied, etc.

• Set and oversee rules associated with transport sequencing, release
validation requirements, etc.

• Perform oversight and validation activities of Releases as objects are
released into the various test and production systems – including performing
Release validation activities.

• Participate in problem diagnosis during the release lifecycle when errors
are found

• Establish relationships with counterparts in GOI to share release plans
and identify potential conflicts

• Provides oversight and guidance to Change Management in relation to
objects that are routinely allowed to be implemented off-release, with regards
the necessary release management practices that need to be followed for these
releases

• Participate in root cause analysis activities and critical technical
problem troubleshooting as it relates to Release changes impacting production
or Release QA processes.

• Establish and maintain a patching schedule for the development, testing
and implementation of non-SAP system patches

• Perform periodic release audits and ensure necessary corrective actions
are taken

• System ownership activities – including access control, transport
authorizations, etc. of Release management sand box, development, and test systems
and Template tools

• Perform custodianship responsibilities for Template related changes
– including Financial template, security template, BB template, and all
new templates to be implemented

• Coordinate with Basis teams on release deployment and necessary support

• Help group implement process improvements related to release deployment
process

• Review support work against RM quality gate check list criterion to
be used at stage gates in assessing go no-go and associated risks

• Maintain templates and ongoing production of Release Notes and other
pertinent communication deliverables

• Maintain Global Release calendar and activities to assure application
managers maintain up to date application release calendars that link to the
Global

• Assure completion of Impact Assessment activities by ISDC configuration
and development resources

• Development, maintenance and ongoing use of metrics and monitoring of
OLA’s

• Participate in lessons learned and root cause analysis activities as
they relate to incidents and problems related to release activities

• Schedule Release review sessions when required

• Assist in the development of new release processes to be used across
BP

Essential Education :

• Educated to Degree level or equivalent

Essential experience and job requirements :

• Practical knowledge of Release management, Incident management and Change
management gained in a complex environment

• Must have cross-functional/technical understanding of SAP based systems
(entire Net-Weaver suite) - including environments needed, integrated system
components, functional understanding and BC-Set packaging concepts.

• In-depth knowledge of the Release management function – including
what is necessary for incident management, release notes, project integration,
support integration, Template usage, etc.

• Extensive experience of data analysis. Can demonstrate a track record
data analysis supporting a number of significant business units in a complex
multi-region multi-application environment.

• Must have good experience of using Excel to undertake data analysis
